Tournament Policy

It is an IRS requirement that tournaments be paid for by the club, not the individual teams. The following policy/procedure is in effect to meet that requirement:

Each team chooses the tournaments it will attend. You collect the money from your parents and deposit it into your team account. Then apply online for your tournament and print a copy of the application form that must be mailed with your payment. Bring a check made payable to BSA Celtic for the amount of the tournament (or designate usage of your fundraiser funds), a stamped envelope addressed to the tournament, and a copy of the tournament application to the treasurer (or mail everything to the treasurer at the address below). The treasurer will mail a check from the Celtic Club to the tournament with your application and deposit your check into the BSA Celtic account. There will be a metal drop box under the treasurer's porch. Please send an email when you drop off a payment so it is not missed and the treasurer can get payment out quickly when necessary.
