The Annual General Membership Meeting of the BSA Celtic Soccer Club will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2008, starting at 7:00 PM, at the John Ankeney Soccer Complex Picnic Shelter. All families registered for the 2008-2009 seasonal year are entitled to one vote per child playing on a BSA Celtic team.
The agenda is as follows:
1. Election of Officers for the 2008-2009 Seasonal Year.
2. Voting on Amendments to the BSA Celtic Code of Regulations.
Proposed Amendment 1:
Article V, Section 1 Item 7
Amendment requests a change to the “Coaching Coordinator-Boys Teams” to change the title to “Age Group Coaches Coordinators-Boys Teams” and that appointment of this position(s) be changed from the Board of Directors to the Director of Training/Coaching.
Proposed Amendment 2:
Article V, Section 1 Item 8
Amendment requests a change to the “Coaching Coordinator-Girls Teams” to change the title to “Age Group Coaches Coordinators-Girls Teams” and that appointment of this position(s) be changed from the Board of Directors to the Director of Training/Coaching.
Proposed Amendment 3:
Article V, Section 2 Item A
Amendment requests that head coaches be nominated by the Director of Coaching and the Age Group Coaching Coordinators and selected by the Director of Coaching. This change eliminates the approval of the Board of Directors from the current code of regulations.
Proposed Amendment 4:
Article V, Section 4 Item G
Amendment requests that head coaching nominations made by the Director of Coaching no longer need to be ratified by a majority vote of the Board of Directors as per Amendment 3 this responsibility is given to the Director of Coaching. This proposed amendment is only valid if Proposed Amendment 3 is ratified. Otherwise this amendment will become invalid
