Training Info


In addition to regular team training with the head coach, Celtic players receive professional technical training with Jeff Popp (Director of Coaching and Club Trainer) and the professional training staff. Training is specialized for both field players and goalkeepers.

Field Player Training

Topics covered include dribbling, receiving, passing, turning, and shooting. Sessions will be age appropriate and limited to a small number of players so that each player can receive individual attention. Most technical sessions will be 60 minutes.

Keeper Training

Topics will cover technical aspects of goalkeeping such as catching, diving, shot stopping, and foot work. Sessions will be age appropriate and limited to a small number of players so that each player can receive individual attention. Most Technical sessions will be 60 minutes.

Training Facilities

In addition to the facilities at John Ankeney Soccer Complex, several other facilities are used during the winter and when the weather is poor.
